Résumé
Nous sommes fin des années 50, en Floride. Les relations entre Wilhelm von Huber, savant d'origine allemande, travaillant pour la conquête spatiale, et son fils Billy, dont la mère est décédée, sont de plus en plus tendues et tumultueuses. Un jour, le gamin fait la découverte d'un petit chimpanzé rebelle, prévu pour un vol en orbite autour de la Terre .....
